Today, 17th Oct, is the UN day for the eradication of poverty: https://www.un.org/development/desa/socialperspectiveondevelopment/international-day-for-the-eradication-of-poverty-homepage/2018-2.html
In Hope’s view, poverty, including in the most extreme form involving homelessness, is the most important issue facing Britain today. It is what our governing instruments say we do, and we alleviate, if not eradicate poverty, every single day. We are also a voice railing against poverty, and the damage it is wreaking in our community. Every day, with benefit cuts, stagnant wages, rising fuel and housing costs, it gets worse, as all the data shows (https://www.jrf.org.uk/our-work/what-is-poverty )
We believe we make a difference to poverty, and if we were’n’t here, it would be much worse. But we need your support: your donations, your listening and your continuing concern. Share with your friends, family, workmates, and shout about poverty.
