On Friday Feb 1st, at the Abington Park Cafe, Abington park, Northampton, Hope will be holding its 2019 sleepout!
This is our flagship event to raise money for our work. Our target is to get 250 people sleeping out overnight under the stars for Hope and raising awareness of homelessness. We don’t pretend that being out in a safe place for only one night can ever be like really being homeless; but its symbolism is significant. People get a sense of what homelessness is. And that is valuable.
Hosted by our great supporter, Northampton Mayor Tony Ansell, this event aims to be Hope’s biggest and best yet.
Grab your sleeping bag and your mates to come down too; get your sponsorship going, find those long johns and you will be ready to have fun!
The event is safe, carefully marshalled and there are first aiders on site. You will be able to get warm and snacks and some entertainment will be on hand.
