Welfare Worker: Foodclub
18.5 hrs. Fixed term contract
This new post offers welfare support to people accessing Hope’s foodclub. As well as helping people complete applications for hardship or other funding, you will help refer people to other Hope services for work, training, mental health and addiction, as well as our social enterprises; and to other support related to housing or welfare rights. You will need an advice or welfare background.

Community Engagement worker
18.5 hrs weekly. 9 months fixed term contract; salary pro-rata to £23k
This post will carry out a community needs assessment in relation to low incomes and poverty in Northampton, with a specific focus on black and other minority community needs, capturing data and client stories to inform the work of Hope and the work of others.

With regard to pay, the term PRO-RATA is used on our adverts. This means the actual sum paid reflects the number of hours worked as compared to the rate paid for full time. So if we say the full time rate is £25ooo, but you only work half time, then the salary paid is proportionate or pro-rata to that, ie half.
