As everyone should now know, Hope has agreed with our landlords that, without prejudice to our legal rights, Hope will leave our Oasis House building, but only when a suitable building of adequate size, quality and facilities is found, in the right area adjacent to our existing other smaller building on Ash Street, and is ready to occupy.
We are looking, and have spoken to various estate agents. The Council is also trying to help us find an alternative space. But we need help from anyone who values and supports what Hope does.
We need a building of at least 6200 sq feet to match what we have now, plus garden, but we really need more – we are overcrowded with limited offices and storage for clothes and other items for the homeless. If not immediately close to Ash St, we will need to find more space on site to replace our small nearby food store- another 800sq ft, and ideally move our big food warehouse alongside everything else – another 2500 sq feet! Ideally we would like closer to 10.5k sq feet or even more, plus garden, plus parking, with good road access.
Does anybody know of any property, near to our existing offices? I.e. on the north/ north west side of the town centre. Do you own property, or know someone who does?
