Riders must make sure they are medically fit to take part in the bike ride. If in doubt, riders must get clearance from their GP before participating.

If for whatever reason the event is cancelled by the organisers, then the balance of your fees will be refunded (minus the non-refundable £100 deposit). If for whatever reason you as a participant have a need to cancel, then, after commitment deductions from the hotel/travel costs, the balance of your fees will be rolled forward towards the next international event planned in 2023 by the R4H committee.

We ask that all participants carry their own travel insurance which also covers bike damage and loss

I agree to abide by Terms & Conditions of the Ride for Hope event for non-competitive cycling, and understand and agree that I participate in this event entirely at my own risk, that I must rely on my own ability in dealing with all hazards, and that I must ride in a manner which is safe to myself and others. I am aware that when riding on a public highway the function of marshals or group leaders is only to indicate direction and that I must decide whether the movement is safe. I agree that no liability whatsoever shall attach to the promoter, charity, event sponsor or any event official or member of the Ride For Hope organising team in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered by me in or by reason of the event however caused. I will participate in cycling events in a loyal and sporting manner. I will submit to disciplinary measures taken against me and will take any appeals and litigation to the Event Manger provided for in the Terms & Conditions. Subject to that reservation, I shall submit to any dispute that may arise exclusively to the Ride For Hope Committee. Waiver of Liability: I have read, understood and agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions and the declarations listed in this form, and am entering the event at my own risk.

Whilst we recommend you buddy up with a family member, friend or colleague as your ferry and hotel accommodation will be twin to keep the costs down, we have explored other options for you to consider. These will be subject to availability and an additional supplement will be added to the cost of the challenge if you choose a different option for either the ferry or hotel. We will need your commitment and signature to pay any additional costs you request on this form. As we are a charity and the event is a fund-raising event, the challenge fee covers the costs only, we are not taking any percentage or amount for the Hope Centre. Any fund raising is coming from your sponsorship pledge.

FERRY OPTIONS (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY) If you would like to share an outside cabin (additional cost of £40 per person) or have a single occupancy inside cabin (additional costs of £50 per person) please indicate below.

We have provisionally booked the Hotel Mitland in Utrecht for both nights and you will be sharing a twin room. If you would like your own room, there will be an additional £100 on top of the £495 challenge cost.

I commit to paying the additional supplement I have indicated here, on top of the challenge cost of £495. We will confirm the costs with you before we make the booking.
