February 2nd              Charity Day at Northampton Saints

This year we were invited along to a charity day as part of Northampton Saints match against Harlequins in a battle for a place in the Semi Finals of the Anglo-Welsh Cup. Everyone who booked their tickets through us was treated to discounted tickets (which we were given a profit of) and we were on hand at the game to try and raise some more money for our charity. We raise a grand total of £195.60. Thank you to everyone at Northampton Saints for inviting us along to this great day.


January 26th               Big SleepOut 2018 at Sixfields Stadium

A total of 166 people joined us at our Big SleepOut which was held this year at the home of Northampton Town Football Club, Sixfields Stadium. The event has so far raised an amazing £60,000, with this figure rising every day. During the evening there was a vast array of cardboard sleeping structures built by our participants and we also had a visit from the mascots of both the Cobblers and of Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. Thank you to everyone braved the cold and damp to help us raise a fantastic amount of money. Thank you also to everyone who volunteered their time to help on the night, to the Rapid Relief Team who provided catering for us on the night, and to ReachOut who were our first aid support for the evening.


December 2nd            Christmas Fair

We held our first ever Christmas fair as our last event of 2017. A total of 15 stall holders came along to sell their goods incuding Christmas gifts, photographs, soaps, scents and crafts. There were also refreshments on sale, a raffle and we were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa too. Many thanks to the stall holders, Santa, our volunteers and all the members of public who attended to help us raise £476.01.



September 14th          Wilson Browne Croporate Golf Day in aid of Hope

The first Wilson Browne corporate golf day, in aid of the Hope Centre, was a huge success.  Held at Collingtree Golf Course in September, a total of 18 teams took part in a competitive 18 holes. Sadly no team won the £4,000 on offer to sink a hole......although one player certainly came close!  After the golf, players were treated to a great meal at the club, and were given the chance to win raffle prizes including a mascot day with Northampton Saints.  We are delighted to announce that we hope to raise up to £5,000 from the event, a fantastic achievement by everyone.  Thank you to all the teams who took part, to all the staff at Collingtree for hosting us, to everyone who donated auction prizes but mostly to everyone at Wilson Browne Solicitors for their support and hard work in setting up the event. 



Sept 4th            Franks Hamburger House Fundraising Meal

On the evening, the restaurant was 'taken over' with the support of the staff and management of Franks, by clients of the Hope Centre, who had been training in food preparation and customer service over the previous weeks.  The special menu, including the Hope Burger, was a great success, and the restaurant was packed.  Three was a raffle to raise even more money for the centre, and live music from two clients from the centre singing acoustic songs.  Joanna, The Hope Centre Case Manager who worked on this event with Franks, said  "This is such an important event.  We are trying to develop people's skills, to empower them, grow in self-esteem and help them recieve training in the industry.  The evening raised almost £800


Sept 3rd            Northampton Half Marathon


We had 8 people take part in this years Northampton Half Marathon, raising funds for the centre.  Thanks to Sam, Lyndsey, Louise, Theresa, Simon, Thomas, Natalie and Simba who raised over £1600 between them.  Special thanks to Simon, who as well as completing the half marathon, printed the special running vests for us free of charge.



July 23rd:         Fun Colour Rush

We were delighted to be the chosen charity of the Fun Colour Rush this year in Abington Park. The day was busy, with 100's of people taking part, many of whom chose to raise money for charity.  Our clients and staff helped on the day, here is our Case Manager Joanna, with one of our clients Joe.




July 15th:          Abseil the Lift Tower

4 people took on the very tall challenge of abseiling the Northampton Lift Tower.  They all completed the abseil, between them, raising around £1000 for us.  Well done all.  Further place are available for future dates, just email if you are interested.


July 6th - 9th:      Ride for Hope

Another brilliant year for this event, which is fast becoming one of our most rewarding events of the year financially.  46 intrepid cyclists took on the challenge of cycling from Northampton to Ypres, in what turned out to be some of the hottest days of the summer (yes we did have a summer 32 degrees on one of the days!).  Once again the team including the support crew all did a fantastic job, arriving in Ypres on the Saturday afternoon, very tired, but elated at their achievements.  The event this year raised a magnificent £38,800 for the centre. 


June 18th:            Bands in the Park

The fantastic Fynnius Fogg performed on Sunday 18th June at the Abington Park bandstand helping us to raise over £450 to support the work of the Centre.

This was the 1000th charity performance that the band have played, during which time they have helped raise thousands of pounds for good causes.  The weather was simply fantastic, with lots of people enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.  

Thank you to everyone that had a go on our tombola, guess the name of the teddy, or bought cakes from us.  A huge thank you to everyone who baked cakes for us -they were all delicious.

May 13th                      :            Cinema Under the Stars

What a fantastic evening at Brixworth Country Park.  500 people came out to watch The Lion King, on a lovely late spring evening.  Thank you to all our sponsors, suppliers and supporters for making the event so special. 

Special thanks to AbiDominiqueLaurenLucy and Tish from the University of Northampton.  This event, was planned and managed by them as part of their final assessment for the Events Management degree.  We are delighted that it was such a success, and this is down to their planning and hard work.  We raised a total of just over £4000.


May 5th & 6th              :           Althorp Food  and Drink Festival

It was wonderful to be Althorps nominated charity at this festival.  We were supported by many of the Exhibitors on site over the weekend, many of whom donated to our fabulous raffle prize - a lovely hamper.  We were also able to showcase our Hope Catering and Hope Tools businesses.  In total we raised £1000 at the festival. 





April 30th                :           Rock for  Hope

We are absolutely delighted that our Rock 4 Hope event, held at the Derngate Theatre, raised an amazing £10,000.

We would like to thank all of our performers - Northampton, Higham Ferrers and Market Harborough Rock Choirs, Northampton Male Voice Choir, VOX and our guest MC Bernie Keith from BBC Northampton.  Most of all we would like to thank everyone who attended the event and gave so generously on the evening, whether that was by buying a programme or putting their hands in their pockets for our bucket shake.





Jan 27th - 28th        :          The Big SleepOut

Thank you to the 172 participants, who braved the cold and wet for the night at Abintong Park.  A fabulous £60,000 was raised by our 'sleepers', which is a record.  






Sept 4th        :          Northampton Half Marathon

Thank you to the 3 runners who took on the 13.1m race to raise funds for the centre.  Rob Boor, Simon Reeves and Robin Burgess.

All completed in the race, and between them raised over £800.




Aug 20th to 21st :          Umbrella Fair

Our Hope Enterprises team attended the Umbrella Fair with their refurbished Garden Tools.  If you missed them at the event, don't worry, you can still purchase garden tools from us directly, call us on 0845 5199371 and ask for Brinley.


July17th        :          The Tour Ride - Cyle for Hope 2017

We were delighted to be chosen as the official charity partner for the inaugral Tour Ride of Northampton.  With 10 / 40 and 80 mile rides to choose from, the day was a great success.  Thank you to everyone who took part, and who raised sponsorship for the centre.  Money is still coming in, but we raised around £1000.

July7th        :          Bubbles with Boris, Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton.

Former Mayor of London, Boris Johnson MP, hosted an audience in aid of the Hope Centre, and NORPIP.  The event was well attended and raised well over £1000 for each charity.


June 25th          :          Northampton Male Voice Choir presented Songs for a Summer Evening at Christ Church, Abington, Northampton. 

A wonderful evening of entertainment, including the world premiere of three new songs composed by Gary Carpenter, to celebrate the work of William Shakespeare, as well as solo performances by 2 promising young talents Isabel Rose and Lucy McCormack.      




June 4th           :           Abseil the Northampton Lift Tower

8 brave supporters of the centre abseiled down the outside of the Northampton Lift tower, raising money for the centre.  Overall, over £3000 was raised.




13th May         :           Cinema Under the Stars

We were treated to an outdoor showing of Grease, held in the stunning grounds of Highgate House.  This event was organised by 4 University of Northampton students, as part of their final year studying Events Management.  A fantastic evening, raising over £1000.


31st March      :           Malaysian Banquet at Baba and Nyonya

We had a scrumptious time learning about Malaysian food at Baba and Nyonya.  The restaurant was filled with supporters of the centre for this fun event.  Half the ticket money and a raffle on the night made it a very good fundraising event.


27th January        :               Big Sleepout 2016

140 brave supporters slept outside during Storm Gertrude, raising almost £40,000 for the centre.  Many thanks to the Northants County Cricket team for allowing us to use your facilities for the night.
